Morning – Florence to Volterra

The day begins in Florence, where participants meet their English-speaking driver and depart aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz minivan. The journey toward Volterra unfolds through the scenic Tuscan countryside, with rolling hills and rural landscapes accompanying the drive (Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive).

Upon arrival, participants discover Volterra, one of Tuscany’s most evocative hill towns, renowned for its Etruscan origins, medieval streets, and alabaster craftsmanship. A 2-hour guided walking tour with a licensed local guide explores the historic center, including Piazza dei Priori, the Roman Theatre, ancient city walls, and lesser-known corners that reveal the town’s authentic character.

Late Morning – Bocelli Vineyards and Estate

Following the visit to Volterra, participants reboard the Mercedes-Benz minivan and continue through vineyards and rolling hills toward the Bocelli family estate (Approximately 30 minutes drive).

In Poggioncino, the visit focuses on the Bocelli family vineyards, located adjacent to the Bocelli family farmhouse. Participants learn about the history of the vineyard, grape cultivation, and the family’s winemaking philosophy, while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside and admiring the farmhouse from the outside.

Midday – Wine Tasting and Lunch at Officine Bocelli

The experience continues with a short transfer by minivan to the Officine Bocelli Restaurant in Lajatico. Here, participants first visit “La Casa Bocelli”, an intimate museum dedicated to the life and career of Andrea Bocelli. Personal memorabilia, awards, photographs, and curated exhibits offer insight into his artistic journey.

Following the museum visit, participants take part in a wine tasting of Bocelli wines, learning about the family’s winemaking traditions. The tasting is followed by a four-course Tuscan lunch, carefully paired with wines from the family estate (Total duration of vineyard visit, museum, wine tasting and lunch: approximately 3 hours).

Afternoon – Return to Florence

In the afternoon, participants depart Lajatico and begin the return journey to Florence aboard the private minivan. The scenic drive through the Tuscan countryside takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering a relaxed and comfortable conclusion to the day.

Terms and Cancellation policies

Art. 1 terms and regulations:

  • Group capacity:  min 10 pax – max 20 people per group 
  • If the group tour does not reach the minimum capacity of participants by 72 hrs prior the start of the tour, it will be cancelled.
  • In case of the cancellation by the great italy tour, the great italy tour will return the amount paid by the customer via nexi payment platform.

 

Art. 2 – cancellation policy on behalf of the client:

  • Once customers pay the amount of a day tour, in the case of the eventual withdrawal on behalf of the client for any reason before departure, the client will be charged the following percentage of the participating shares, calculated taking into consideration how many days before departure he/she has requested the cancellation. From the day following the booking until:

 
– 6 days pre-departure 0% (free cxl till 5 days prior the tour)
– 5-0 days pre-departure 100%.

  • By confirming the reservation and making the payment, you accept the regulation and the itinerary as previously described.

 

Art. 3 – tour variations

  • The service providers (hotels, agritourisms, restaurants, chefs, etc.) At times mentioned in our tour itineraries are subject to change. In this unlikely event they will only be substituted by others of equal or better quality in order to avoid affecting the content of our services.
  • The itineraries are subject to changes. Suggested activities may have to be substituted as a result of natural disasters, sudden atmospheric changes, temporary closures, striking or any other problems for which the tour organizers may not be held accountable. Any alterations made will be done so in order to improve the service on offer and will always be of equal commercial value.
